Searching for candidates on CVbrowser
CVbrowser is a great place to find your perfect candidate, and getting the most out of our powerful CV search software is very simple. This page is here to help you understand exactly how our website will find you candidates.
The Boolean Method

The Boolean method is a way to combine certain keywords and punctuation such as AND, OR and NOT to focus or broaden your search. It sounds tricky but is in fact quite simple and is used commonly on sites such as Google. Take a look at the examples below to see how the Boolean method works on CVbrowser.

Word Example What this does
AND
Accounts AND Finance
Finds CVs containing the keywords Accounts and Finance.
OR
Accounts OR Finance
Finds CVs containing the keywords Accounts or Finance.
NOT
Accounts NOT Finance
Finds CVs containing the keyword Accounts but not Finance.
"..."
"Accounts Handler"
Finds CVs containing the key-phrase Accounts Handler.
(...)
Accounts AND (Finance OR Sales)
Finds CVs that have Accounts and either Finance or Sales.
Getting Technical
You can use any combination of the above to get even more focused results from your searches and find that perfect candidate faster. Take a look at the following examples:
  • Accounts AND Finance AND Sales
  • "Accounts handler" AND Finance AND Sales
  • "Accounts handler" AND (Finance OR Sales)
